Jamie Kennedy Objective To accept challenging and responsible positions where my lifetime of experience, natural talent and ability can be fully utilized to our mutual benefit to create a resistance-free union between horses and riders based on trust, understanding and compassion. Biography Jamie Kennedy has been actively pursuing her career since 1975. She started her equine education in her family-run business “Kennedy Show Horses”, under the excellent tutelage of her mother, Penny Kennedy, an accomplished equestrienne, instructor and judge. Kennedy Show Horses specialized in acquisition and sales of youth Western mounts. She was active in FFA and 4H and was Arizona state champion in seven events. Her career as a horsewoman includes experience competing and training in rodeo, equitation, halter, Western Pleasure, hunt seat, saddle seat, dressage, speed events, carriage driving and endurance riding, plus work as a trail guide, breeder, farm manager and equine photographer. She has worked with a variety of horse breeds: Arabians, Paints, Quarter Horses, Thoroughbreds, Tennessee Walkers, Appaloosas, Morgans, Paso Finos, Nation Show Horses, Saddlebreds, Frisians and Crossbreeds. Jamie has trained and studied under Richard Shrake, inventor of “resistance-free”
training, Multiple World Champion trainer, coach, clinician and carded judge; Hilda
Gurney, Olympic Medalist, trainer, clinician and internationally carded judge; John
Charles Sari, trainer in dressage and combined training, and eight-year member of
the Spanish Riding School of Vienna; Eitan Beth Halachmy, Multiple Nation Champion Jamie is a certified Master Trainer and Instructor, has held three Rodeo Queen
titles, two PRCA and one National Military Finals title. She held the arena record
for barrel racing at the Silver Spur Rodeo in Yuma, Arizona in 1985 with a time of Her instructional and coaching style emphasizes safety and fun in a stairstep format that is easy to follow and practice, and which crosses over into every discipline. She also breeds, raises and trains American Paint Horses and Australian Shepherds.
